Adding Promo Code Message to Readmit Apps

Summary and Location of Message 

This guide explains how to update the readmission discount code message that appears on the signature section of the online application for readmit students. This message is displayed conditionally based on the applicant’s Admit Type and provides instructions for entering the application fee waiver discount code on the payment screen.


The message is configured on the Application form using the Extended Form Editor. The section is titled “Conditional Readmission Statement” and contains HTML instructions that can be edited when discount codes change.

Edit the Message to Add Promo Code

  1. Navigate to the CRM Customization Area
    Open CRM Recruit and navigate to:

Settings → Customize → Solutions

    Locate and open the solution named:

    Within the solution:

• Expand Entities
• Locate and open SJRS Application

  1. Open the Application Form
    Inside the SJRS Application entity:

• Click Forms
• Open the form named Information – Main

  1. Locate the Readmission Statement Section
    Scroll down through the form until you find the section labeled:

Conditional Readmission Statement

Click the box area within that section to highlight it.

  1. Open the Extended Form Editor
    With the section highlighted:

• Click Extended Form Editor in the upper right corner of the page

This will open the advanced configuration window for the section.

  1. Update the Message Text
    In the Extended Form Editor: 

• Go to the General tab
• Confirm the setting Show Online is set to Conditional
• Locate the Instructions field

This field contains the HTML used to display the message to applicants.

Example HTML: <p style="line-height:107%;margin:0in 0in 8pt;"><span style="color:red;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"><strong>STOP</strong><strong>: If you are applying as a readmit student, please enter discount code GOVIKINGS2 on the pay screen to waive the application fee.</strong></span><span style="color:red;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"></strong></u></p>

Update the discount code text as needed while keeping the HTML structure intact.

Important Notes When Editing
• Only modify the discount code or message text as needed
• Do not remove or alter the HTML formatting unless necessary
• Keeping the formatting ensures the message continues to display correctly on the external application site

  1. Review Visibility Conditions (Optional)
    Select the Visibility tab.

This section controls when the message appears on the application.

The configuration should be set as follows:

Trigger Field: Admit Type
Operator: Includes
Selected Values:
• Bachelors Readmission
• Readmission

These conditions ensure the message only displays to applicants who select a readmission admit type.

No changes are required unless additional admit types need to be included.

  1. Save the Changes
    After updating the message:

• Click Save and Close on the General tab
• Save the form
• Publish the customization if prompted

Result
Once saved and published, the updated message will appear on the application signature page for applicants whose Admit Type matches the configured visibility conditions.

Add an Admit Type to the Message Visibility

  1. Navigate to the CRM Customization Area
    Open CRM Recruit and navigate to:

Settings → Customize → Solutions

  1. Open the Visibility Rules Tab
    Inside the Extended Form Editor:

• Select the Visibility Rules tab

This tab controls when the message appears on the application.

  1. Review the Current Visibility Configuration
    The section should currently be configured similar to the following:

Trigger Field
Admit Type

Operator
Includes

Selected Values
Bachelors Readmission
Readmission

These values determine which applicants see the readmission discount code message.

 

  1. Add the New Admit Type
    To include an additional admit type:

• Locate the list of available values for Admit Type
• Select the new admit type that should also display the message
• Add it to the Selected Values list

Ensure the new admit type appears in the lower box with the other selected values.

• Click Save and Close
• Save the form
• Publish the customization if prompted

Result
After saving and publishing the changes, applicants who select the newly added Admit Type will also see the Conditional Readmission discount code message on the application signature page.
