SJRState Registration Acceptance Policy:
By clicking on "I Accept", I am acknowledging and accepting via electronic signature the payment terms of this agreement
with St Johns River State College.
Payment Terms:
Use of the SJR State registration system requires a one-time acceptance of the following:
A Program Objective Enrollment Compliance (POEC) review is required for every student seeking federal student aid. In accordance with federal law, federal student aid funds can only be applied to classes that are recognized as being truly necessary for completion of a student’s declared degree. To that end, the College must verify (on a term-by-term basis) whether or not all classes for which a student is enrolled are required or not. Those classes which are confirmed to be required, i.e. POEC compliant, will be covered by federal student aid (as long as all other relevant eligibility criteria has been met). Classes which are identified as not required for degree completion will be flagged as such, and these non-compliant courses will be excluded from financial aid coverage. To be clear, any coursework that is not required will not be included when calculating eligibility for Title IV funds (Pell Grant, Direct Subsidized Loans, Direct Unsubsidized Loans, etc.).
I am responsible for paying any remaining amounts not covered by financial aid before the due date. If I withdraw from St. Johns River State College courses after the official add/drop period for course refunds, voluntarily cancel my financial aid, or I am found to be ineligible for financial aid, I will continue to owe and will pay the full amount of the tuition and fees assessed on my account.
For students who have declared the following programs, acceptance of this agreement is acknowledgement that the gainful employment disclosure information was sent through College email, received and read: Accounting Technology Management (0401), Law Enforcement (5005), Network Infrastructure CISCO (4123), Office Management-Medical Office (0433), Office Management (0435), Paramedic (3085), Medical Assisting (0212), Engineering Technology Support Specialist (4302), Mechatronics (4301), and Practical Nursing (0297).
Delinquent Accounts and Collection Costs: If student fees are not paid in full upon notification by the College, these debts may be referred to an outside collection agency and to appropriate credit bureaus. Resulting collection fees up to 27% will be added to the original debt and the student must pay these costs, as well as attorney's fees, if applicable. Furthermore, all unpaid obligations will result in a hold on student records, diplomas, transcripts and future registration activity. In order to insure effective communications regarding delinquent account(s)/loans(s) or to receive general information from the College, the student agrees to allow the College and/or collection agency working on the College's behalf to contact them using automated telephone dialing equipment, artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages, and personal calls and emails. This includes contact by cell phone if a cell phone number has been provided by the student.
In addition, acceptance of this agreement authorizes St. Johns River State College to provide all required legal forms, where allowed by law, in an electronic format. This specifically includes IRS Form 1098-T, Student Tuition Statement. Students may request to opt out of electronic delivery by sending a request including their student ID number ("X" followed by 8 numbers) to OptOut@sjrstate.edu. Opting out of electronic delivery does not affect the collection cost notification.
