(For day-to-day use by Success Managers and Advisors)

  • Student Success Dashboard → Overview of risk levels, alerts, and advisor activity.
  • View All Appointments → Managers can see all advising calendars across staff.
  • Risk Levels → Students grouped into Low, Moderate, or High Risk (green/yellow/red).
  • At-Risk Students & Alerts by Advisor → Shows which advisors have the heaviest caseloads.
  • Alerts by Status → Tracks Open, Completed, and Canceled alerts.
  • Overdue Tasks/Phone Calls → Identifies students who may have been overlooked.
  • High-Risk Student Profiles → Detailed record with GPA, enrollment, alerts, notes, and communication history.
  • Reports → Prebuilt analytics like Alert Processing, Course Scores, and Success Scores.
  • Resync ERP Data → Refreshes Banner data into Advise to ensure accuracy.
  • Faculty Access Ranges → Limits how long faculty can view student data after a term ends.

Student Success Dashboard Overview

The dashboard gives managers a high-level overview of risk, alerts, and activities across SJR State.

  • Risk-Level Snapshot → Students grouped by risk bands.
  • At-Risk Students by Advisor → Caseload comparison.
  • Open Alerts by Advisor → Number of unresolved alerts.

Why it matters: This is your command center for spotting risk trends.

Viewing All Advising Appointments

Managers can see all advising appointments across the institution.

  1. Go to Managers → Advising Calendar.
  2. Filter by advisor, date, or student.

Why it matters: Helps balance workload and confirm coverage.

Viewing Student Risk Levels

Risk levels are tied to the Success Score and bands (green = low, yellow = moderate, red = high).

  • Access via Managers → Dashboards → Risk-Level Snapshot.
  • Drill into bands to see individual students.

Why it matters: Focus attention on high-risk groups

Viewing At-Risk Students and Open Alerts by Advisor

Shows which advisors carry the heaviest caseloads of high-risk students.

  • Use At-Risk Students by Advisor and Open Alerts by Severity per Advisor charts.
  • Drill down to see underlying student/alert records.

Why it matters: Helps managers balance workloads and prioritize support.

Viewing Alerts by Status

Alerts are categorized by Open, Completed, or Canceled.

  • Found in Managers → Dashboards → Alerts by Status.

Why it matters: Tracks how efficiently staff resolve alerts.


Viewing Overdue Tasks and Phone Calls

Overdue items indicate missed outreach.

  • Navigate to Managers → Dashboards → Alert Task and Activity Management.
  • Review Overdue Tasks by Due Date and Overdue Tasks by Alert Rule.

Why it matters: Ensures students don’t slip through the cracks
